Operation Purple Camp Registration Open

The application period is now open for the National Military Family Association’s traditional Operation Purple summer camp program.  Operation Purple camps are free camps for military children.  First priority is given to children with a currently deployed parent, followed by children whose parent is leaving for, or has recently returned from, a deployment.

In 2011, camps will be available in 25 states (plus one overseas location) and will serve more than 3500 children.  My children were able to attend an Operation Purple camp two years ago and they still talk about it regularly.

Please check out the list of sites, dates and ages, and then apply!  The application period will close on 29 April 2011.

Happy Camping!
