Outlet Malls Offer Military Discounts

Summer means vacations, and getting ready for school.  Both those things often translate into shopping.  If outlet mall shopping is in your summer plans, be sure to stop by the outlet mall's management office to see if they offer any special deals for military families.  Many outlet mall companies and individual outlet malls offer coupon books and/or free club membership if you present your military ID.  At other outlet malls, there is no formal program but the office can tell you which stores offer military discounts upon request.

Here's my personal example:  This week, I'm taking advantage of the fact that we are semi-homeless and I've come to visit my family in Myrtle Beach.  Yesterday, my sister wanted to go to the outlet mall, and I joined her.  I popped into the mall office and inquired about military programs.  I received a huge coupon book and a sheet of additional coupons.  I didn't even have to fill out any paperwork or join anything - the nice customer service representative just handed them over.  (People are sooo nice here in South Carolina!)  Many of the stores have some sort of coupon in the book.  Most of the coupons are for 10% to 20% off, though some are as high as 50% off!  Some do have purchase requirements, such as 20% off any purchase over $50.

I wouldn't make any buying decisions just because I might save any extra $3, but you might as well save on the purchases that you are going to make anyway.  Outlets are a popular location for shopping, and sometimes they have good prices.  Already good prices with an extra discount is exactly the type of shopping I'm looking for!

Military.com has information about these discounts, as well as all other types of military discounts, at our Discount Center.  Information about the program at Tanger outlet locations can be found at Tanger Outlets Offers Free Coupon Book.  Information about the program at Simon Premium Outlet locations can be found at Simon Premium Outlets Offers Free Coupon Book.
