The next regular, active duty military payday is Tuesday, 15 April 2014. Yes, that is ten days away, but Tuesday paydays are always confusing.
Navy Federal Credit Union
Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) pay deposits are always a little tricky, and that is doubly true for Tuesday paydays. To know when to expect your pay deposited, it is essential that you know what type of checking account you use for your military pay deposits. Members who use Active Duty checking accounts will see their pay pending on Friday, 11 April 2014, to be posted overnight and available for use on Saturday, 12 April 2014. Members who use any of NFCU’s other checking accounts will see their pay pending on Monday, 14 April 2014, to be posted overnight and available for use on Tuesday, 15 April 2014.
One Business Day Early
Many military-friendly banks and credit unions will credit military pay one business day early. This includes USAA and Pacific Marine Credit Union. One business day early is pretty easy when you're dealing with a Tuesday. Customers who use banks who post deposits one business day early will see their pay posted sometime on Monday, 14 April 2014.
Service Credit Union
Service Credit Union posts active duty military pay “up to two business days” prior to the actual payday. However, it is never guaranteed and it is dependent upon the receipt of information from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). Don't plan your spending assuming that you'll be paid early. Service Credit Union customers have previously had Saturday deposits for Tuesday paydays, but that does not mean it will happen for this payday. You will have to wait to find out.
