Five Days of Financial Fun

Hello, dear readers!  I'm just barely back from five fabulous days of learning at the Financial Bloggers Conference in lovely St. Louis, Missouri.  My brain is packed chock-full of new information and products that can help make your financial journey faster and easier.  It is going to take months to share everything, but I wanted to say "Hi!," "I'm back," and "get ready for a ton of great stuff."

There was a strong military presence at FinCon.  Each of these bloggers, financial planners, and entrepreneurs has something to contribute.  Today, I just want to let you know who they are.  There will be more detailed information coming in the future.

My friend Doug, former owner of, and current writer for, The-Military-Guide, who is always full of calm wisdom and encouragement.

Ryan Guina from The Military Wallet writes well-researched articles about issues like TSP annuities and Unemployment Benefits After Separating From The Military.

Jason Hull of Hull Financial Planning.  A former Army officer, financial planner, and real estate enthusiast, Jason has a lot of very intelligent things to say about money.  My favorite recent post is Five Ways Living On One Paycheck Provides Flexibility For Your Family.

Rob Aeschbach from RobAeschbach.com.  You should definitely listen to what Rob has to say in How To Stop Worrying About The Cost Of Starbucks And Make A Budget That Really Works.

Hank Coleman, of MoneyQ&A.  While Hank writes about all sorts of financial issues, he's got a military background so he gets to be in our little club.

Probably the best "person that you wonder how you've missed" introduction was to Johnny Moneyseed and Mrs. Moneyseed.  I'm loving their story - I bet you will, too.

Jeff Rose from Good Financial Cents has just released his new book, Soldier of Finance.  I picked up a copy this weekend, and there will be a review coming soon(-ish.)

Toni, from The Happy Housewife, is so inspiring!  She's a homeschooling mother of 7 who also happens to be a military spouse AND run a successful company.

Last, but certainly not least, was the always fun team from USAA.  Scott Halliwell was on hand to answer those USAA-type questions, and John Hancock was there to be super-friendly and make everyone feel like the most important person in the world.  Love those guys!

I'm absolutely sure that I've missed several people, but the jet-lag is winning and I wanted to give you a quick recap before I crash too hard.  Hope you've had a great weekend!
