15 March 2013 Military Pay

The 15 March 2013 military pay posting situation looks much like the last few.  The actual payday, 15 March 2013, falls on a Friday.  Most military pay will be deposited on Friday, but some banks and credit unions offer early direct deposit as a way to entice people to use their services.

On Thursday, 14 March 2013, financial institutions who deposit military pay "one business day early" will post military pay to their customers' accounts.  This includes USAA and PMCU.

Chances are that Service Credit Union customers will have their military pay posted on Wednesday, 13 March 2013.  Service Credit Union offers deposits "up to two business days" before the actual payday.

Navy Federal Credit Union uses a two-tiered system.  Customers who have their pay deposited into an Active Duty checking account will see their pay pending on Wednesday, 13 March 2013, to be posted overnight and available for use on Thursday, 14 March 2013.  Customers with any other type of checking account will see their pay pending on Thursday, 14 March 2013, to be posted overnight and available for use on Friday, 15 March 2013.

Some banks are more predictable than others, but there is never any specific time that pay has to be posted.  For more information, see  What Time Will I Get Paid?
