1 February 2013 Military Pay

I don't know why this pay period has felt soooo long.  The next regular, active duty, military payday is next Friday, 1 February 2013.  Most folks will see their deposits in their accounts sometime on that day.  For those of you who bank with an organization that offers early direct deposit as a benefit, your pay will be in your accounts a bit sooner.  But when?

Of the banks and credit unions that offer early direct deposit, "one business day early" is the most common variation.  Thankfully, it is easy and consistent to figure out what one business day early is on a Friday payday:  it is Thursday!  USAA and Pacific Marine Credit Union (PMCU) customers will see their pay in their accounts on Thursday, 31 January 2013.

Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) member pay will show up on different days depending on which type of checking account they use.    Members who have Active Duty checking accounts will see their pay pending on Wednesday, 30 January 2013, to be posted overnight and available for use on Thursday, 31 January 2013.  Customers with any other type of checking account will see their pay pending on Thursday, 31 January 2013, to be posted overnight and available for use on Friday, 1 February 2013.

Service Credit Union offers direct deposit up to two days early, pending receipt of information from DFAS.  I'd reckon that Service Credit Union members will probably see their pay on Wednesday, 30 January 2013, but don't make any decisions based upon my guesses!  Service Credit Union does not guarantee that pay will be available early.  It usually is, but things can happen.
