The National Military Family Association has announced the opening of applications for the Joanne Holbrook Patton Military Spouse Scholarship for 2013.  Scholarships of up to $1,000 are available for study towards:


  • high school GED

  • English as a Second Language

  • university degrees, including associate, bachelor, master and doctoral degrees

  • licensing fees

  • vocational or technical certification


There are also specific categories of scholarships for spouses of wounded warriors or fallen service members.

Funds from the scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, and room & board.

Applications are accepted online until 31 January 2013.
