Veterans Day 2012 Entertainment Discounts

Veterans Day weekend is full of discounts and deals.  Yesterday, I wrote about restaurant promotions.  Today is entertainment.  As always, please let me know if you know about additional discounts.

Anheuser-Busch Parks – through 31 December 2012, specific opening hours and restrictions vary by park. Active Service Members, including reservists and National Guardsman, can receive free single-day admission for themself and up to 3 dependents to any one Anheuser-Busch theme park, one time per year. Parks include Adventure Island, Busch Gardens (Tampa Bay or Williamsburg), SeaWorld (Orlando, San Diego, or San Antonio), Sesame Place, and Water Country USA. Not valid at Discovery Cove and Aquatica, or Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa, or A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place.  More information and registration can be found at the Here’s to the Heroes program website.

Colonial Williamsburg – Friday, 9 November 2012 to Monday, 12 November 2012.   Colonial Williamsburg offers free weekend-long admission tickets to active-duty military, reservists, retirees, veterans, and their immediate dependents.  Tickets are also available for the families of deployed servicemembers.  The ticket includes admission to Colonial Williamsburg exhibition sites, art museums, and most daytime programs, as well as free parking and use of the shuttle bus system.   Tickets may only be obtained at Colonial Williamsburg ticket offices.

U.S. National Parks, including Historic Jamestown – Saturday, 10 November 2012 to Monday, 12 November 2012 for everyone, indefinitely for active duty military and their dependents.  This weekend is one of the National Parks Service’s Free Entrance weekends.  Participating parks are free to everyone.  In addition,  active duty military and their dependents are eligible for free

Knotts Berry Farm Military Tribute Days – 1 November 2012 to 21 November 2012.   Knott’s Berry Farm has an annual Military Tribute event in which they offer military members past and present by offering free park admission.  Veterans or current serving military personnel plus one guest get in FREE with proper ID (DD214, Veterans Administration Hospital ID or Active Military Service ID). Purchase up to six additional tickets for just $19 each.

    The amusement parks just like the government forget about the ones who have served and made it possible for the ones serving now. Omitted from a tribute that should be for all who have served or are serving.
