For those of you who are planning ahead, here is a list of the 2012 Active Duty military pay days.  Keep in mind, the formula is always the same:  military folks get paid on the first and the fifteenth, unless that day falls on a weekend or official federal holiday, then the payday is the business day prior to the weekend or holiday.

There are a couple of longer pay periods in 2012:  13 Jan to 1 February, 13 April to 1 May, 13 July to 1 August, and 14 December to 31 December.  Be sure to keep them in mind when you are planning your spending.

Don't forget that the actual release day of your military pay deposit will depend on the policies and practices of your bank or credit union.
