Veterans Day 2011: Entertainment Discounts

There are so many great Veterans Day deals that it is hard to keep up with them all.  Friday, I did restaurant and other food offers, and today is entertainment (and the B&Bs, because I wasn’t sure where else to put them).  If you have an opportunity to take advantage of any of them promotions, please say thank you to the people who help you.

B&B for Vets – Thursday, 10 November 2011.  Before we get into the entertainment part of the post, I want to sneak in the B&Bs for Vets program.  Over 485  participating Bed and Breakfasts and Inns across the US and Canada are offering veterans a free night’s stay on 10 November 2011.   This offer is available to both active duty military members and veterans with ID, but space is limited. Each Inn and B&B has at least one room available for this promotion and reservations must be made directly through the participating Inns and B&Bs.

And now, on to the other fun stuff:

Colonial Williamsburg Free Admission – 11 November to 13 November 2011.   Colonial Williamsburg is offering free admission tickets to active-duty military, reservists, retirees, veterans, and their immediate dependents from Friday, Nov. 11 through Sunday, Nov. 13th. The complimentary ticket, which is good for the entire weekend, includes admission to Colonial Williamsburg exhibition sites, art museums, and most daytime programs, as well as free parking and use of the shuttle bus system. Tickets are only available at on-site ticket sales locations. Tickets are also available to families of deployed servicemembers.  You will need military ID or your DD214.

Fee Free Day at National Parks – 11 November to 13 November 2011.  Another “not just for veterans” deal, all National Park Service locations that usually charge an entrance fee will be free this weekend.  This includes historic Jamestowne, Virginia, Grand Canyon National Park, and Yellowstone National park.  There are amazing options in nearly every state.

Knotts Berry Farm Military Tribute Days – 1 November to 24 November 2011.  Knott’s Berry Farm has an annual Military Tribute event in which they offer military members past and present by offering free park admission.  Veterans or current serving military personnel plus one guest get in FREE with proper ID presented at Knott’s turnstile (DD214, Veterans Administration Hospital ID or Active Military Service ID). Purchase up to six additional tickets for just $17 each.   In addition, there is a Kids Eat Free deal at Amber Waves restaurant, but you must print out the flyer and take it with you.

Hopefully more offers will appear as the week progresses.  Be sure to check back!
