1 September 2011 Military Pay

It’s that time of month again…when people start wondering when their next paycheck with appear.  Depending on your bank’s posting policies, this could be a longish pay period.  The next military pay day is Thursday, 1 September 2011.   When will that pay be deposited into your bank account?  That depends on your bank and your account.

Most banks will release those funds sometime on Thursday, 1 September, or overnight from Wednesday to Thursday.  It isn’t always the same time each pay period because there are a lot of factors that go into when your pay is posted.

Some banks offer early direct deposit of military pay to their customers.  Big names that I know include USAA and PMCU, but there are more that I don’t know.  If your bank typically releases your direct deposit early, then you will see your deposit on Wednesday, 31 August, or overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.  Again, there is no exact time that this will happen.  It is a long process to credit all those deposits, particularly for banks that have lots of military members.

Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) customers will have to know what type of checking account they have in order to know when to expect their pay.  If you have an “active duty checking,” then you should expect to see your pay one day early, on Wednesday, August 31.  Not sure which account you have?  Check your online account information, give them a call, or ask at your branch.

when will the end of the month LES for august come out

    • KateKashman

LCG, LESes usually come out about a week before payday. Since payday is Thursday, 1 September, they will probably come out tomorrow. However, there is always the possibility that they will be later…it is always a surprise!

I am a widow of a service man that retired with 34 yrs. He died this pass June and the military is refusing me any of my benefits. The way i feel at this point, i would not recomend any one joint and branch of service cause they will find any way possible to not pay you for risking your life for some oher country.

My husband signed an extension. His current ETS on the LES for September 1 is showing as August 23 2011. We’re receiving the full months pay so no issue there, but he has hit the 8 year mark as of August 23 and therefore should have seen a bit of an increase in pay for September 1. Should I be concerned that the LES has not changed is ETS date and there isn’t an increase for 8 years. Anyone ever dealt with this situation?

A pay increase is only received on odd number years or his annual clothing allowance. Unless he was recently promoted.

      • Marc

uhh….no? it happens on even numbered years (check a military pay chart if you still have a hard time believing)

      • marc

and it stops after you reach a certain amount of years for each pay grade

I would suggest your husband visit his local finance office on base to get the correct information. They are the ones that prepare the monthly LES and they can probably give him a copy of the 2011 pay table.

We usually get paid on the 31st as soon as the clock hits 12am. But tonight no money in the bank and we really need that paycheck to feed our kids! All the other soldiers we know who gets paid early hasn’t gotten their paychecks either. What’s the deal? What’s the delay about?

    • Kate Kashman

Jannica, the first thing I would do is check the LES. Does it state that a deposit is coming? If it does, and your bank usually deposits early, then you might want to call them and ask. I imagine that it is just the regular processing time and it will show up soon, but sometimes things do go wrong. Good luck to you!

Same here, no pay yet today and its normally there by the time I wake up. I have USAA.

    • LKing

Yea no pay for me in USAA as well. I was wondering because I just changed my DD to another account.

      • ealts

Same here – I’m with BofA and nothing yet, which is odd – it has never come in on the actual date, always at least night before

  • Grum Abate

I’m with B of A n I still haven’t got payed either someone please tell me what’s going on

  • Rain into Rainbows

That’s really odd. We have the majority of our pay going to USAA with an allotment to BofA. It’s a regular, not military, BofA account. Both deposits were credited — USAA yesterday, BofA today.

I would definitely check, especially since we’re going into a long weekend.

My husband has bank of America also and we usually get the deposit early in the morning, around 2 am on payday and I’ve been checking since 5:30 am and still nothing. I don’t understand whats going on and there isn’t a hold on the account for the amount processing. If it doesn’t cone today I don’t know what we are going to do….

My son just left for boot camp on Aug. 15th. He was told he would recieve his pay Sept. 1st. It still has not been deposited in his account, when can he expect his first pay check?
