Regular, everyday 10% military discount available to active duty, reserve, retirees and family members, and disabled veterans.

Veteran’s promotional 10% discount available to all veterans this weekend, for honorably discharged veterans, VA benefit recipients, and immediate family. The veterans discount is available through Monday, 4 July 2011.

Kirkland’s

Kirland’s Fourth of July sale includes a 10% off military discount with a valid military ID.  Valid through Monday, 4 July 2011.  From the Kirkland’s Facebook page:

Kings Dominion, Doswell, Virginia

Kings Dominion is pleased to announce that it will offer FREE admission to active duty and retired military personnel on July 3 and 4 as a part of its Tribute to the Armed Forces program.

The offer includes all branches of the service, National Guard and Reserves. To receive the Free ticket, the active duty or retired service member must show a valid military ID or discharge papers at Kings Dominion on one of the dates of the program.  Up to six family members or friends age 3 and above will also be able to purchase specially discounted tickets at the Park for $34.99 each.  Children 2 and under are admitted free.

Arena Football League Predators, Orlando, Florida

On Friday, 1 July, 2011, Orlando Predators are taking on the Pittsburgh Power and there is  free admission to veterans and there immediate family.  Please click on the link for all the details.

Atlanta Braves, Atlanta, Georgia

The Atlanta Braves Major League Baseball team are offering free tickets for active duty, reserve, and veteran military members with valid military ID.  Now, I don’t know how they are going to do that – many veterans don’t have a military ID.  Family members may purchase tickets at half price.  This offer is good for the weekend of July 1 to July 4, 2011.  Details are available in the link.

Carowinds Theme Park, Charlotte, North Carolina

Carowinds Theme Park will offer FREE admission to any active and retired U.S. military personnel on July 2-4 when showing proper identification at the Carowinds front gate.  There is also a special meal that can be purchased in advance, through the online offer announcement.

Cedar Point Theme Park, Sandusky, Ohio

“Saturday July 2 – Monday July 4th we’re offering free admission for all active, retired and honorably discharged members of the Armed Forces when they present a Valid Military ID.  Men and Women of the Armed Forces can also purchase discounted tickets for family members. (Valid IDs include Active Duty ID, Retired Personnel ID, VA Medical System Picture ID or Copy of DD-214 Discharge papers along with a photo ID.)”

Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Pittsburgh Pirates Major League Baseball team is offering up to four free tickets per valid military ID for the game on Monday, 4 July 2011.  Tickets can be preordered via the announcement webpage, or may be picked up on game day at the Military Appreciation Sales Booth on Federal Street.

Michigan’s Adventure, Muskegon, Michigan

From the website:

“Michigan’s Adventure will be celebrating Tribute to the Armed Forces on July 3-4, 2011 by offering military personnel of the Armed Forces, National Guard and Reserve a free admission. In addition, military personnel may purchase up to six additional tickets for family members at $20 each.

Guests will be required to show one active military ID, DD-214, or Veteran’s Administration Hospital ID to qualify for the discount. Tickets purchased for this event are non-refundable and are valid for admission on one of the listed dates only. Tickets must be purchased at the park on the day of your visit.”

    For the question on those military veterans who doesn’t have an ID card, I believed they can get a veterans ID card at any VA Administration Offices as long as they can provide a DD-214 (discharge paper).
