21 August 2010 Saturday Roundup

As usual, there are lots of interesting articles around the internet this week.  Some things I’ve enjoyed:

3 Secret Skills of a Super Shopper at Personal Dividends:  I couldn’t agree more.  I often find that #2, patience, is the one that separates shoppers from super shoppers.

Making $400,000 Yet Living With Mom and Dad at Squirrelers:  From the comments, both at Squirrelers and at the original article, it is obvious there are a wide range of feelings on this one.  I think it is super smart, I hope the young men are making sound money choices, and for goodness sake, get a darn housekeeper so your mom isn’t cleaning up after you!

Your Take:  Your Best Fifteen Minute Financial Fix at Bargaineering:  What a great reminder to do the things that need to be done to save money.  In fact, I’m so motivated that I’m going to do one of those things right now.

I’d love to hear about your best 15 minute fix!  Leave in the comments and inspire us all…

  • Kate, Thanks for including the Personal Dividends article in the round up.

As for the 15 minute fix, I recently cut my auto insurance bill by about 60% by just taking a Progressive quote and renegotiating with Allstate. They beat Progressive by a mile.
