Disney Military Deals 2010

This promotion ended on 31 August 2010.   Stay tuned for any new releases by searching for Disney or clicking on the travel category.

Thank you to David, whose comment on my 2009 Disney post reminded me that I had forgotten to post the 2010 deals!  While not quite as generous as the 2009, these are still great bargains if you are headed to Disney.

2010 Special Ticket Offer for Military

From 1/3/10-8/31/10, Disney is offering a special reduced price of $99 per ticket for up to six 4-Day Base Tickets (which provide access to one theme park per day) .  The offer is available to active or retired US military personnel to be used by themselves, family members (including spouse) or friends.  These tickets will be valid through 9/30/10 or until all entitlements on the tickets have been used, whichever comes first.

There are black-out dates:  3/27/10-4/9/10 at all four theme parks, and 7/3/10-7/4/10 at Magic Kingdom only.

Although these tickets do not include either the Park Hopper or Water Park Fun & More options, they can be upgraded to add either option, or both, for an additional $26, plus tax, per option (half the regular price).

Guests can pre-purchase the ticket exchange vouchers at or your installations Ticket office or at Shades of Green, TAX-FREE! The vouchers must be turned in at the Main Entrance ticket windows to receive the actual ticket. The military tickets can also be purchased at the Main Entrance theme park ticket windows, but you must pay tax.

These tickets are for active and retired US Military including Coast Guard and active members of the Reserves or National Guard, and permanently disabled veterans with a valid military ID card.   If the service member is not present, the spouse or unremarried widow may purchase up to five tickets.  The tickets may be upgraded to Seasonal (for Florida Residents) or Annual Passes, with credit toward the upgrade based on the actual price paid.  No Expiration Option cannot be added to these tickets. No other upgrades, such as adding additional days, will be available.  Tickets must be used by the same person on any and all days.  This offer may not be combined with any other offer.

Discounted Rooms for Military

Save up to 40% on rooms at select Disney Resorts, for stays most nights January 3 to September 3, 2010, except not available 3/28-4/10/10 and 7/1-7/5/10.   Book through July 31, 2010.

A limited number of rooms are allocated for theis offer.  . Minimum length of stay requirements may be required for Friday or Saturday arrivals. Savings based on non-discounted price for the same room. No group rates or other discounts apply. Advance reservations required. Additional per-adult charges apply if more than two adults per room.

As always, I suggest you verify this information via Disney or Shades of Green before finalizing your travel plans.  I’m sure they don’t intend to make this confusing, but sometimes it still is.
