A Five Minute Fix

Wondering how you can fix your finances in five minutes?  Well, you can’t.  However, in five minutes you can do one important thing:  open your wallet and write down all the information about all the items in there.  Your driver’s license number, the telephone number of your credit card companies, and a list of the wallet’s contents.  If this project takes you more than five minutes, you have too much stuff in your wallet.  Ideally you should carry just three or four things:  a driver’s license, your military ID, a credit or debit card, and perhaps one other item.  If your wallet and you were to become separated, you’ll be a lot happier if it isn’t full of every valuable card you have.

Take five minutes now, won’t you.  You might be very glad someday (I know from experience.)
