Walt Disney World in Florida has recently announced a new military discount promotion, called “Armed Forces Salute.”  In this offer, each active duty or retired service member will receive a FREE five day ticket that includes the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun & More options.  In addition, the service member may purchase up to five “Armed Forces Salute Companion” 5 day tickets for only $99 each.  The companion tickets do not include the Park Hopper or Water Park options.  Those options may be added for $25 each.

For families whose service member is not able to join them (like us!), the spouse may purchase the five companion passes without the service member present.

In addition, Disney is offering a 40% discount on select hotel rooms.  Both these offers are scheduled to end on December 23, 2009.

I hope that many of your are able to take advantage of these very affordable prices at Disney!

Where do you go to purchase these tickets. I plan to take my family this September and can not find the site nor a phone number to purchase these tickets. I am a VietNam and Korean Veteran.

    Thanks for your help.

    David,

I’m not sure if they are still promoting those tickets at Disney World. My family and I was just there Oct 09 and I ask how long the promotion would be in effect and they advise until Dec 09. They also said it does not happen every year so I advise to do a google search or go to your local military ITT dept.

    Hope this helps.:)

  • Thanks, Lakisha. I’ve been trying to write a post about the 2010 Disney deals but I’m not quite finished yet.

i was just wondering does any one happen to know if they offer any discount in the california park if anyone knows somthing can you let me know thanks.

  • Alex, I have not found any discounts for Disneyland in California. Maybe one of our readers can help?

  • I purchased tickets for WDW in July for myself and family. My ticket was not free as I had to pay $99.00 and my family tickets were $99.00 also. My question is this, since I have already bought my ticket can that money be refunded?Further, I have to use my ticket by Sept 30, 2010. Does the free ticket provide an axtended date for use? How do Irecover my costs?

  • I have already pruchased my ticket (USAF Retired). How do I recover the cost of that ticket? Further, my ticket has to be used by Sept 30, 2010. Does the free ticket have an extended time for use?

Chuck, this was the 2009 promotional offer. I am glad that you were able to get in on the $99 offer, as tickets had to be purchased yesterday. Yes, the 2010 offer tickets must be used by the end of September. You can find that information here: http://bookwdw.reservations.disney.go.com/ibcwdw/

Does anyone know what form of ID must be provided in order to receicve the discount at the Disney ticket window?  Would the Veterens Affairs (VA) disability card be sufficent identification?
